Batwa Empowerment Village

Project Overview

We produced a full-length documentary and photography coverage for Batwa Empowerment Village, a nonprofit organization supporting the rights, education, and economic empowerment of the indigenous Batwa people in Uganda. Filmed on location in Bwindi, the project highlights the challenges faced by the Batwa and the solutions provided by the organization to improve their quality of life.

What we did

Our team filmed across the village, capturing interviews with community leaders and beneficiaries, daily life activities, and empowerment programs. We documented initiatives such as home building, education programs, vocational training, agriculture, and healthcare access. We also photographed the settlement and ongoing development projects, producing visual content that communicates both the impact of the organization and the dignity of the Batwa people.

Story Summary
